For years, Villanovaforru has had the pleasure of hosting the Life After Oil Film Festival, created by director Massimiliano Mazzotta and conceived as a tool for environmental awareness and the promotion of human rights, but it was born with the aim of going beyond mere awareness. While it is important to raise public awareness about the risks associated with the exploitation and use of natural resources for the production of fossil fuels, the enormous problem of disasters caused by energy shortages remains, with particular reference to the water supply for a significant part of the world’s population. The main objective of the festival will therefore be not only to highlight the problems related to the use of fossil fuels, but above all to identify possible alternatives that take into account, based on current scientific knowledge, the various known production methods. In the year 2026, the festival will be held from 16 to 20 June.
