The festival, historically organised by Crogiuolo under the co-artistic direction of Iaia Forte and Rita Atzeri, represents the union between the Island’s cultural heritage and theatre, complemented by other entertainment events, in places of great archaeological value and beyond. Villanovaforru, “a chosen municipality – as Rita Atzeri recalls – because the first act of NurArcheo took place there some time ago, at Nuraghe Genna Maria, with the show Deinas,” is among the various municipalities involved across the entire island. As every year, during the festival days, guided tours of the archaeological sites will take place, which will then become evocative stages for evening performances. NurArcheoFestival is organised by Il crogiuolo, with the contribution of the MiC, the Department of Culture of the Region of Sardinia, the Fondazione di Sardegna, and the support of the involved municipalities.
